Aberdeen has around 60 students from Thailand studying a range of subjects, although Law and various Oil & Gas programmes in engineering and geology have proved the most popular over recent years. There are also many other students from across South East Asia, including Brunei, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
The postgraduate Law programmes at Aberdeen are very popular because our LLM in Commerical Law is approved by the Thai Office of the Judiciary so many students come to Aberdeen then return to Thailand to take the Judges exam.
A team from Aberdeen usually visit Bangkok at least 3 times a year to attend British Council Education Exhibitions and also OCSC (Office of the Civil Service Commission) In the past we have had students who have been awarded Royal Thai Scholarships and also employees of PTT.
