Tuition fees for EU students starting in 2019 and 2020

The Scottish Government has confirmed the tuition fees in Scotland for EU students enrolling in the 2019 and 2020 academic years. Students will be admitted as Scottish/EU fee status students, will retain that status for the duration of their studies, and are eligible for tuition fee support from the Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS). Please visit the SAAS website for more information: www.saas.gov.uk.

Jim Duncan Scholarships

There are two Jim Duncan Scholarships available. They are open to applicants who have decided to go to the University of Aberdeen to undertake an undergraduate degree starting in September 2020 after having had a break in their education, or who are resuming their undergraduate studies at the University after an interruption, and require financial assistance.

20% discount is available for University of Aberdeen graduates on the full cost of a taught graduate programme and one year of a full-time research programme (two years for part time). Applies to a number of taught postgraduate programmes or first year of a full time research programme.


CB Davidson Fund

The CB Davidson fund provides limited financial support for Postgraduate students within the School of Law.

John Reid Trust Scheme 1959

The Trust exists to assist distinguished Aberdeen University graduates, preferably with Honours, and preferably in Arts, to continue their studies in Arts or in any other branches of higher learning at any institution outside Scotland. Students with a Science degree are still encouraged to apply.

Law School LLM Merit Scholarships

There are two Law School LLM Merit Scholarship available. The scholarship offers £7,500 in total toward fees for one year. This is part of the Law School Scholarships programme.

Leverhulme Scholarship: Producing chemicals and materials sustainably: Understanding the economic implications and firms decision making

The University of Aberdeen has been awarded over £1million in funding to establish a centre that will train a new generation of researchers to develop technologies that convert organic waste into sustainable materials. The University is one of only ten universities across the UK to receive a prestigious Leverhulme Doctoral Scholarship Award, which will fund 15 doctoral scholarships across three cohorts.
