  • Students on the MA Hispanic Studies (www.abdn.ac.uk/study/courses/undergraduate/arts/hispanic_studies/) have the opportunity to study abroad at ITESO in partial fulfillment of the MA (hons) residence-abroad requirement. Only third year students are eligible. The exchange is for a full year and students must be in good academic standing. Following on from their coursework in the first semester at ITESO, Aberdeen students carry out social and community service placements (Proyectos de Aplicacion Profesional - PAP) or professional training projects in the second semester of their exchange. These placements are organised by ITESO under the supervision of an academic. They are unpaid and are for 8 hours each week.  Activities vary from working in rurul communities on sustainability to working in businesses, but there is always a strong element of social responsibility and service.
