- Spaces for Events
We have a range of spaces available for you to use at the Multi-Faith Chaplaincy. These include a lounge, kitchen, meeting room and multi-purpose hall. We ask that all rooms are left clean and returned to how they were found. There is no charge for room bookings for students or staff of the University, although donations are appreciated and accepted. The only exception is a small charge of £5 for the use of the kitchen which helps to cover cleaning and equipment cost.
Please have a look at our Booking Rules before making a room booking. If you have any queries or would like to speak with someone regarding your booking, please contact Wendy Booth by phone at 01224 273548.
The lounge is situated on the ground floor at the rear of the Multi-Faith Chaplaincy. This space can be booked for use in the evenings for groups of up to 20 people.
The kitchen is on the ground floor and comes well stocked with pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, teapots and utensils. There is an electric hob and oven, microwave, a small fridge, dishwasher and a double sink with draining. There is also a hot water dispenser for teas and coffees. We ask that when you leave, the kitchen is left clean and tidy. Please note that there is a small charge of £5 for the use of the kitchen to cover cleaning and equipment costs.
The meeting room is on the ground floor. It is suitable for groups of up to 15 people.
The hall is on the first floor and can only be accessed by stairs. There are tables and chairs provided. The hall can be used for groups of up to 50 people.
We have a quiet room available at all times for anyone to use if you need a moment of peace and quiet.
