Becoming a Student Ambassador is an exciting and rewarding way to develop employability skills and gain relevant work experience while meeting other students from different backgrounds.
Our team of Student Ambassadors play an essential role at the University of Aberdeen. Their primary role is to promote the university at a range of events throughout the year, provide an authentic student voice and provide administrative support for short- and long-term projects.

Who is it for?
We believe it is important for our prospective, new and current students have access to fellow students who are already experiencing life as a student of the University of Aberdeen. Sharing personal experiences can provide potential students and new students with invaluable information.
We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated, and friendly students (UG, PGT or PGR) from all backgrounds who are passionate about the University of Aberdeen. You should be a strong team player, experienced in a customer-facing roles and an excellent communicator. Candidates must possess the ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team.
You must be a fully registered student at the time of application, and be in the 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of your studies in academic year 2023/2024.

Working with schools and directorates across the University this role provides a broad range of opportunities includes:
Supporting recruitment activity such as Open Days
Assist with telephone campaigns for potential or new students
Hosting engaging campus tours
Providing administrative support
Creating Blogs and Vlogs
Supporting Marketing activity
Support for events
Use of social media or virtual platforms to engage with potential students including webinars
What is the time commitment?
The Student Ambassador Network offers flexibly, enabling you to select hours which fit around studies. The amount of work available will vary from month to month therefore we cannot guarantee a set number of hours each month.

How do I apply?
You must be a fully registered student at the time of application, and be in the 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of your studies in August 2023.
Applicants will be invited to attend a 2-hour in-person assessment centre on Wednesday 29 March 2023. This will be the only assessment centre.
If appointed, contracts will begin in August 2023. Apply by 12pm (noon) on Monday 20 March 2023.
