They are happy to advise you with all aspects of your career planning, from offering feedback on your CV to discussing how to secure a job in your preferred career sector. The Careers Service provides access to a wide range of resources to inform your career choices. Their website provides links to over 2500 resources, searchable by job type or degree subject. In addition, the website contains advice on making successful job applications.
- Develop Your Skills and Attributes
Engaging in co-curricular activities will help you to gather evidence of your development of Aberdeen Graduate Attributes which will be important in marketing yourself to employers. These activities include, Career Mentoring, the STAR Award, Leadership Academy, the BP Student Tutoring Scheme and the Careers Service Ambassador Programme. The Careers Service also run a series of Career Bites employability workshops.

The Careers Service posts details of the latest graduate jobs, placements and part-time jobs every day on their CareerConnect system. Students are automatically registered to use this system. It is recommended that you login and create a profile in order to receive regular email alerts of opportunities relevant to you.
