Staff at the Library will run a referencing session on Thursday 18 May 10:00 - 12:00. In the workshop we will look at the principles of referencing, demonstrate how to create in-text citations, footnotes and, lists of references at the end of your written work. We will also look at the three common approaches to referencing, ie. Harvard, Vancouver, Oxford. In the second half of the workshop we will look at the bibliographic management software ProQuest RefWorks and explain how to export references from main academic databases into your RefWorks account and create in-text citations using the RefWorks Citation Manager (RCM) add-on.
There will be hands-on time for students to practise using RefWorks and time to ask any questions you may have.
