Dr Richard Anderson's talk will explore Aberdeen's connections to transatlantic slavery.

Attendees will have the opportunity to see and discuss the exhibition ‘Legacies of Slavery: Transatlantic Slavery and Aberdeen’ curated as part of the University’s commitment to improve understanding of both the institution’s own colonial legacy and the wider region’s connections to the enslavement of people. Dr Anderson will focus on the unique Museums and Special Collections items selected for the exhibition and the challenges of presenting difficult histories in public exhibitions.
