Are you a Taught Postgraduate doing a dissertation or project this summer? Have a look at some of the support sessions we offer

MS Office: On 28 & 29 May, IT Services are running workshops to help with many of the common formatting issues that arise when working with long documents. Using Word 2013, the workshops will look at templates, styles, tables of contents and figures, and many other features.

The Student Learning Service will host two workshops at the start of June, the first looks at writing a literature review and the second focuses on the construction of arguments and the structuring of the dissertation.To book your place on any of the above  visit

From the 21-23 May, the library will hold a series of workshops covering the research process, from choosing where and how to search for quality information to ensuring that your referencing is as good as it can be.

University student vying to become Young Scottish Jazz Musician of the Year

A University of Aberdeen student is in the running to be named Young Scottish Jazz Musician of the Year.

Nadya Albertsson, who is in the second year of a Bachelor of Music degree, will compete in the semi-finals of the competition when it comes to Aberdeen’s Blue Lamp on Sunday.
