The Corporate Games is a multi-sport event which will take place between March and August 2024. Organised and delivered by Aberdeen Sports Village, 16 companies and organisations from across the city will come together in tournament style to take part in 10 different sports.

Who can take part?

All University of Aberdeen staff can take part, regardless of age, gender, sporting ability or level of fitness. Priority for spaces will be given to UoA staff members.

Can beginners join in?

Yes absolutely, we are looking for everyone to bring their team spirit and enjoy the Games for fitness, fun and quality time with colleagues. We recommend beginners attend the training sessions to help get you started.

What if I don't know how to play my chosen activity?

ASV will be delivering coaching sessions prior to each event to get everyone up to speed. These training sessions will teach you the rules of the game and give you hints and tips. In order to enhance your experience, please try to attend these training sessions.

I don't use MS Teams, can I still take part?

Yes, if you do not use MS Teams, you can alternatively email Gillian Kerr with the name of the sports you would like to partake in and we will sign you up.

Are spaces limited?

There is a maximum number of spaces for each event, with spaces allocated on a first come first served basis. You can compete in one or more sports where spaces allow, however priority will be given to those who have not already participated.

If I'm not able to stay the duration of a session can I still take part?

Sometimes this will not be possible, however we encourage everyone to communicate with their teammates to see if they can create solutions.

What are the benefits of taking part?

Previous participants have stated that they enjoyed trying new sports, using the facilities at Aberdeen Sports Village, meeting new members of staff and colleagues and being part of a team.
