Evidence for Enhancement: Improving the Student Experience

Wednesday 29th November, 14.00 - 16.30

Linklater Rooms, King’s College, Old Aberdeen

The new QAA Scotland Enhancement Theme, Evidence for Enhancement: Improving the Student Experience was launched in June 2017 and will run until June 2020. The Theme covers which elements of qualitative and quantitative information pertinent to teaching and learning are useful to help us identify effective practice and areas for enhancement. This information helps the University to prioritise approaches for improving the student learning experience and evaluate the effectiveness of our interventions.

The Annual Learning & Teaching Network Event in 2017 provided an opportunity for staff across the University to engage with and discuss the new Theme. Dr Anne Tierney, Edinburgh Napier University delivered the keynote presentation, “Engaging with Educational Research: Five Ideas from the Literature to Improve Your Practice”. This was followed by parallel sessions hosted by staff from across the University.
