The MRC has recently awarded the University of Aberdeen Confidence in Concept funding to support the transition between discovery and translational research to develop new therapeutic and diagnostic opportunities.

Aberdeen Confidence in Concept (CinC) is designed to accelerate the development of translational opportunities and will allow the University of Aberdeen to support a number of projects during the initial stages of the translational process.

The University will use the CinC funding to support a small number of projects aimed at developing sufficient preliminary data to establish the viability of an approach before seeking further funding e.g. from MRC's Developmental Pathway Funding Scheme (DPFS) or from Wellcome Trust Innovations funding
