Biography
With almost 15 years experience in the sector, Iain has a diverse career track within the institution, having worked across a number of functions within Professional Services during this time.
Iain currently heads the strategic planning team - part of the wider Directorate of Planning - and in this role, works closely with senior institutional management and Schools to help facilitate delivery of the institutional strategic plan. Iain is responsible for, among other areas: overseeing the institutional strategic planning process which underpins delivery of the high level aims and objectives set out in the current plan; negotiating and writing the University's Outcome Agreement with the Scottish Funding Council (SFC) each year; managing the University's strategic risk management function; and supporting the institutional project portfolio management function.
In his spare time, Iain is a keen fitness enthusiast, with a particular focus on running, having run a number of 10K, Half Marathon and Marathon events in recent years.
