Winter weather guidance

Winter weather guidance

Bad weather and working update.

Dear colleagues,

I hope you are managing to stay safe and warm now that the wintry weather has its icy grip on Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and other parts of Scotland.

As we come into these cold spells, I want to remind staff that flexible working arrangements are available if bad weather severely impacts your travel arrangements or makes it unsafe to get to the office. Please check in with your line manager if you have any concerns about getting onto campus.

In the meantime, if you are on campus today and the weather worsens – or if it is already bad in the area where you live - you may wish to consider leaving a little earlier to ensure you get home safely.

The University has been preparing for winter and the possibility of power loss – look out for more information in the Staff News ezine which will be in your inboxes at lunchtime today.

Best wishes and stay safe.
