Enhancement-Led Institutional Review

Enhancement-Led Institutional Review

Following the Enhancement-Led Institutional Review (ELIR) visit to the University in November the ELIR Team has judged that the University has effective arrangements for managing academic standards and the student learning experience. This is the most positive judgement that can be bestowed, and means that as an institution we meet sector expectations in securing the academic standards of our awards and enhancing the quality of the student learning experience we proved, currently and into the future.

This judgement confirms there can be public confidence in our awards and in the quality of the learning experience we provide for our students.

The ELIR Team have indicated their report will commend a number of areas including the student support we offer, our strategic approach to widening access and our quality processes and arrangements for self-evaluation and enhancement. We expect to receive this report, which will also include any recommendations for us to consider, in February 2019.

A big thank you to all staff and students who have been involved in a variety of ways, including meeting with the ELIR Team, contributing to our reflective submission, AV and IT support, and responding to the numerous ELIR Team requests for additional documentation and evidence.
