Overnight network maintenance means MFDs may be offline the following day.
There will be brief interruptions to the network each night between Sunday 10 June and Wednesday 13 June.
The planned schedule is as follows:
|Start Date/Time||End Date/Time||Buildings affected|
|Sun 10 June – 17:00||Mon 11 June – 08:00||All Old Aberdeen buildings|
|Mon 11 June – 17:00||Tue 12 June – 08:00||All Foresterhill buildings|
|Tue 12 June – 17:00||Wed 13 June – 08:00||Aberdeen Sports Village|
Aberdeen Aquatics Centre
Hillhead Halls of Residence
How does this affect you, and what do you need to do?
Make sure you save your work regularly. If you experience connectivity issues during the maintenance period, please wait a few minutes and try again.
MFDs may be offline after the maintenance period completes. We aim to visit all locations where MFDs have not recovered and will reboot them manually. However, if you urgently need to print or copy and find an MFD is still offline, you can reboot it. Simply power it off at the wall socket, wait 60 seconds, then power the device on again.
Why is this happening?
We are upgrading IT network switches and hardware with the latest software release.
