The Interdisciplinary Institute is establishing a series of informal drop-in sessions at approximately six-week intervals in the Interdisciplinary Lounge in Crombie Halls.
The aim of these sessions is to allow any member of the University community interested in interdisciplinary research or education to meet colleagues, including the Institute’s Directors and Fellows, in an informal setting to discuss current work or future plans. Some of the sessions may be themed to act as a focus for discussion, while others will have no fixed agenda to allow open discussion of any topic.
Coffee and tea will be provided. All are welcome!

"Astrophysics & Glaciology" | 10th February, 12pm – 1pm
Mx Morrigan Jones, School of Geosciences & Dr Charles Wang, School of Natural and Computing Science
Join us for an interdisciplinary showcase of research at the intersection between astrophysics and glaciology. Our speakers, Morrigan Jones and Charles Wang, will be exploring brave new worlds with a look at glaciers on Mars, and an early sneak-peek at the new Cruickshank Botanic Garden Observatory. We’ll hear about these apparently distinct topics and discuss synergies between Earth-based and remote observing techniques. So, please join us for these exciting new developments on space environments, and enjoy complimentary coffee with plenty of time for networking with fellow researchers and PGRs, all are welcome!
