Served- France, August 1914-October 1918; Archangel, June-September 1919. Final rank, Acting Lieutenant-Colonel. D.S.O. Bar to D.S.O. Military Cross, Croix de Guerre. Four mentions, 1915, 1916, 1917, 1918.
