Gregory, David
Biography: Describes himself as "Mercator dicti Burgi" i.e. New Aberdeen. This is presumably David Gregorie of Kinnairdie "the ancestor of the senior line of Academic Gregories." His son David was born in 1661, and was at Mar. Coll. 1671-5. On Nov. 4th 1663 the Town Council nominated David Gregorie burgess as librarian of Mar. Coll. library, and he retained the office until 1669.
