On November 8 and 9, 2019, Dr Gearoid Millar delivered the preliminary findings from his Leverhulme Research Fellowship (2018/2019) at the interdisciplinary conference, Building Sustainable Peace: Ideas, Evidence, and Strategies, at the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies, at the University of Notre Dame.

In addition to his paper, '21st Century Challenges to Peace Research and Practice: The Theoretical, the Structural, and the Mundane', Dr Millar participated in the opening keynote [00:27:00], Conversation about the State of the Field, which was chaired by Professor Mahan Mirza (Ansari Institute for Global Engagement with Religion, University of Notre Dame).

The conversation, with Dr Elias Omondi Opongo (Hekima Institute of Peace Studies and International Relations) and Dr Lisa Schirch (Toda Peace Institute), touched on global challenges, peace studies in various contexts around Africa, and local solutions, and can be watched, in full, above.
