Dr Luke Farrow - Appointed SCREDS Lecturer in Trauma & Orthopaedics

There is no doubt for me that the ECAP scheme helped my academic career progress to where I am today. As part of the programme I have had the opportunity to develop new skills and widen my research horizons, such as participation in the BMJ’s research to publication scheme. It has helped engineer a number of exciting research projects and new collaborations amongst individuals within the University. Funding support has allow me to disseminate this research at a number of national and international presentations, as well as led to eventual publication in high level journals.

Thanks to the foundations laid out by the ECAP scheme I have now managed to obtain a SCREDS-CL post with the University in order to continue my development towards a career as a clinical academic. I would highly recommend the ECAP to anyone who is interested in progressing towards a similar career path.
