The German Department at Aberdeen will host the next Women in German Studies Open Conference (online) on 24-26 June 2021

The German Department at Aberdeen is delighted to be hosting the next Women in German Studies Open Conference (online) on 24-26 June 2021. WIGS’ Open Conferences are only held every five years or so, and are open to people of all genders, members and non-members of WIGS.

Prof. Dr. Iman M. Nick (University of Cologne) will give the keynote lecture, and there will also be an author reading by Hanna Sukare.  

Additionally, there will be a special panel strand at the conference addressing matters of diversity and inclusivity in German Studies.  

The conference is hosted with the generous support of the DAAD, Women in German Studies, and the University of Aberdeen.
