Biography
My interests in ethics, politics, and theology go back to my undergraduate days, when I was a political science major. I subsequently earned a Master’s degree in politics (Claremont Graduate University) and a Master’s degree in theology (Talbot School of Theology), before combining the two interests in a thesis on political theology, for which I was awarded a PhD in theological ethics from the University of Aberdeen.
My research focuses on ethics and political theology. I’ve recently published a book on the political theology of Martin Luther. Additional research interests include Augustine’s political thought and Augustinianism, genealogical critique in ethical inquiry, and the history of political philosophy (especially ancient and early modern).
