My interests in ethics, politics, and theology go back to my undergraduate days, when I was a political science major. I subsequently earned a Master’s degree in politics (Claremont Graduate University) and a Master’s degree in theology (Talbot School of Theology), before combining the two interests in a thesis on political theology, for which I was awarded a PhD in theological ethics from the University of Aberdeen.
My research focuses on ethics and political theology. I’ve recently published a book on the political theology of Martin Luther. Additional research interests include the history of political philosophy (especially ancient and early modern), Augustine’s political thought, and genealogy as a methodology for ethical inquiry.
