The University of Aberdeen is pleased to host the seventh iteration of the Nordic Research Network conference series, one of the largest and most respected early-career conferences in the UK to focus on circumpolar scholarship. Co-organised by the Centre for Scandinavian Studies and the Department of Archaeology, we warmly invite you to join us on the 24th and 25th of August 2017 as we welcome scholars from across the globe to engage in an wide-ranging, interdisciplinary dialogue on our conference theme: ‘The North as Home’. Attendance is free of charge and open to all, though registration is required, so please come along. Beyond showcasing cutting-edge research across the Humanities and Social Sciences, our conference also boasts a range of bookstalls, a roundtable discussion of the conference theme, a publishing workshop and Q&A with representatives from leading presses, and coffee and lunch will be provided on both days. We look forward to seeing you in August.
