KFI Project hosted a 1 day workshop with Jennifer Clarke and Alana Jelinek
This wood working workshop, + discussion will be lead by Jennifer Clarke along with Alana Jelinek who Jennifer has been working with.
The first part, in the morning, will take place in the Botanical gardens, using axes and other tools, under an awning for protection from the elements. In the afternoon everyone will be using smaller tools, knives etc, to work, carve, etc. that wood - to whittle it down to something we can use.
The idea is also to discuss praxis, understood recursively, as theory informing practice informing theory, etc. The broader context includes disciplinarity, particularly with reference to art and anthropology, and the notion of work: when is the work of art, as well as what.
Date: 2nd March 2016
Venue: Cruickshank Gardens at 10.30am
