We are looking to recruit a full-time Senior Lecturer (Teaching and Research) within the Department of Postgraduate Taught and Professional Learning to deliver Master’s level teaching on our Inclusive Practice and Autism programmes and to lead our flagship Master’s in Professional Education (MEd) programme.  Our Inclusive Practice and Autism programmes have continued growth and provide pathways to the Master’s of Education (MEd) programme.

Job Description

We are seeking to appoint positive, creative, and collegial, Senior Lecturer within the department of Postgraduate Taught and Professional Learning. With a passion for a high-quality student experience, you will be motivated to contribute to a culture of research-enhanced teaching within the department and the School. As a researcher-practitioner, you will undertake and share high-quality research in line with the School’s Research Strategy and Aberdeen 2040, working with others to enhance the School of Education’s research reputation, generating new knowledge to make a difference by improving children’s education and experiences.

You will lead the Master’s in Professional Education programme working collegiately with colleagues across the School of Education.  Informed by your expertise and interest, you will teach within Inclusive Practice at postgraduate levels. Through collaborative planning and teaching, you will deliver excellent teaching and learning opportunities, as well as supporting students’ pastoral, learning, and assessment, needs.  With a passion for a high-quality student experience, you will support the on-going embedding of a culture of research-enhanced teaching within the department.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 8 of the University salary scale, £53,348 - £60,022 per annum, with placement according to qualifications and experience.
