Establishment of an International Network of Practice-based Research Collaboration

This project aims to establish an international network of practice-based research collaboration between SERG, a sonic arts and sound studies group in the School of Language, Literature, Music and Visual Culture, sonADA, a sound art organisation in North East Scotland, and arthereistanbul, an art space in Istanbul, Turkey. The first phase of the project involved the delivery of three online workshops between September 2021 and March 2022 i) to conduct scoping activities on post-pandemic identities, one of the key issues shared among the partners; ii) to share best practice and develop research projects for the next phase of the network; iii) to identify target funding opportunities in the UK, EU, and South Korea and develop and submit external funding applications; and iv) to launch the network’s website, which will function as a collaborative platform.
