Calder Prize

This prize is awarded triennially and is open to all students matriculated in the academic year of the award. The Afetsi Awooner Prize

Open to any Ghanian student ordinarily resident in Ghana undertaking a postgraduate taught degree programme at the University of Aberdeen. It will be awarded to the graduating student achieving the highest grade point average (GPA) amongst the eligible students each academic year. If two or more eligible students tie with a joint highest GPA, the £1,000 prize will be split evenly between them.
The first prize will be awarded in September 2024.

Thomas Reid Prize for Book Collecting

The prize is open to all registered students of the University of Aberdeen. It seeks to encourage the collection of the printed word in physical form. Applications are based around a written list or catalogue of items owned and anticipated future purchases (which may be illustrated), and a separate statement of the idea of the collection, its scope, intent, and meaning.
The prize is advertised and awarded during the academic year by Aberdeen Humanities Fund.
