CM5521 - Professional Skills and Problem Solving Exercise

Pre-requisite(s): CM5023 Advanced Analytical and Bioanalytical Methodologies' CM5024 Professional Skills in Analytical Chemistry; CM5025 Practical Exercise in Instrumental Analytical Methods

Co-requisite(s): None.

Workshop assignments: solving a murder case using forensic analytical chemistry, information prioritisation (short notice briefing on an analytical problem), writing a grant proposal for long term investigation plan.

The course will contain workshops.

Average 16 hours per week as workshops.

Continuous assessment from oral presentation, reports (50%) and open book exam on an analytical problem (50%).
