Course Description

This course gives the student the necessary foundations. Key to this is the development of a Personal Development Plan which happens at an early stage. Patient safety is an essential component of all healthcare provision and this course will provide information to assist in your benchmarking your practice. All advanced restorative dentistry is underpinned by the prevention of the primary dental diseases. This course will review current restorative management of dental caries and reaffirm the essential diagnostic techniques. All restorative dentistry will eventually fail, minimising such failures is of great importance both to the practitioner and the patient. The topic of failure will be discussed, and the importance of the initial diagnoses emphasised. The assessment in this course will be a submission of a written diagnosis and treatment plan based on patient information.
