Course Overview

This course emphasises the role of Action Inquiry in a professional’s toolbox. During the course participants will examine the differences between Action Inquiry and other types of research and concentrate on understanding how Action Inquiry is relevant to their practice.  As part of the assignment participants will produce a draft proposal for a small piece of Action Inquiry.

Course Description

The Action Inquiry course provides an opportunity to develop a knowledge of research methods, data collection and analysis techniques particularly suited to a small scale Action Inquiry project. It also encourages consideration of a small project that can be done in your professional context and the development of a draft proposal and ethical approval form in order to conduct the project in the PP3 course which follows this course.

To undertake this course participants must be employed in a relevant professional context. Voluntary work is acceptable.
