Located on the upper floor of Lord Boyd Orr House, the Student Services team provides a wide range of support and information services. Student Support Advisers provide free, confidential, independent and non-judgmental advice to students on a range of issues. A Student Counselling Service is also available.

Students’ clubs and societies

AUSA is based at The Hub in Old Aberdeen, but AUSA staff will attend students’ Induction Week in Doha and there is a Qatar Student committee as well as Qatar student membership of AUSA committees.

Clubs and Societies are a massive part of student life. There are already a number of societies and clubs in the Qatar campus: Arts and Crafts; the Chess Club; the Finance Society.

Students are encouraged and supported to develop any society or club that they are interested in.

Learning resources - Library

Located on the upper floor of the Frederick Soddy House, the LRC is here to meet the academic and research needs of the AFG community. As a learner-centered space, the LRC provides a flexible and collaborative environment to facilitate both individual and group studies. The LRC offers access to technologies including computers, laptops, headsets, and printers for student use.

Through the main library at the University of Aberdeen, the LRC provides access to various online resources through electronic databases. The LRC also has a small, but growing collection of reference books for supplemental research.
