Why Choose Aberdeen?

Why Choose Aberdeen?

Aberdeen was the first University in the UK to establish a lectureship in Psychology, and the subject has now been taught here for over 100 years. The School maintains a strong commitment to providing a supportive and stimulating environment for undergraduate studies.

You will have the opportunity to learn from researchers who are leaders in their field, and a particular strength of our teaching is the key element of experimental/practical work throughout the course. The School has internationally recognised researchers in Cognition, Perception and Attention and Social Cognition.

All our Single and Joint Honours Psychology programmes are accredited by the British Psychological Society as conferring eligibility for Graduate Membership of the Society with the Graduate Basis for Registration, providing the minimum standard of qualification of second class Honours in the Psychology component is achieved. This is a first step towards becoming a Chartered Psychologist.
