Research

Research Interests

I investigate the influence of top-down attention on perception and working memory in the somatosensory modality, in vision, and in multisensory task contexts. My preferred methods involve event-related potentials (ERPs) and behavioral measures.

Touch
  • Capacity and flexibility of working memory control processes
  • Attentional selection of locations, features and conjunctions during tactile encoding

Vision
  • Precision of visual working memory
  • Capacity of working memory for locations versus non-spatial features

Multisensory
  • Capacity of multisensory working memory
  • Domain-general versus modality-specific control mechanisms

Current Research

  • Intermodal task-switching
  • Resolution of visual working memory for locations, features and conjunctions
