Political researcher, analyst, and academic specializing in geopolitics, identity politics, democratization, civil societies, and other humanitarian issues in Iraq and the Middle East. PhD candidate and Teaching Assistant in Politics and International Relations at the University of Aberdeen. Non-Resident Fellow at the Arab Center Washington DC and former Non-Resident Fellow at the Center for Iranian Studies in Ankara (IRAM). Regular political commentator and contributor to Aljazeera English, Open Democracy, The New Arab, Middle East Monitor, Indus News, Al-Araby TV and other media outlets. Currently, works in the field of media, corporate communication, and education in Qatar.
