Biography

Solomon Obulor joined the  School of Law as a doctoral researcher in 2018. He is a Teaching Fellow and teaches Foundations of Private Law, Delict and Unjustified Enrichment, Legal System, Contract, Commercial Organisation and Insolvency, and Administrative Law and Civil Liberties. His area of research ranges from Natural Resource Governance, International Environmental, Mineral, Energy and Mining Law to Health and Safety, Arbitration and Jurisprudence. Presently, he is researching on the ‘prospects and challenges of introducing ‘Impact and Benefit Agreements’ into the Nigerian Oil and Gas regulatory regime as a two-way mechanism: first to mitigate natural resource cause in Nigeria generally and the Niger Delta in particular and secondly, for multinational oil companies operating in the Niger Delta region to obtain and sustain their social license to operate in the delta.
