Biography

Having graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor degree in Pharmacy at Mahidol University in Bangkok, Thailand, Athagran continued to study and got a first class Honours degree in Doctor of Pharmacy in Pharmaceutical care at Naresuan University in Phitsanulok, Thailand. Athagran went onto gain experience in the Thai-Asian Training in Primary Medical Services Aspect in Japan as an exchange student. He was also a member of Thai National Essential Drug List Committee (Dermatology section). Athagran is serving as Assisttant Professor in Pharmacy at Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Naresuan Unicersity. He used to be a columnist of The Medicine Journal, and Journal of Community Pharmacy Association (Thailand).

Athagran is now pursuing a PhD within the School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition at the University of Aberdeen. His research aims to reduce anticholinergic burden in the elderly. This investigation will be a qualitative study among patients and health care professionals, supervised by Professor Phyo Myint, Dr. Rumana Newlands, Dr Moira Cruickshank and Emeritus Professor Christine Bond.
