Senior Lecturer (Scholarship)

My role at the University of Aberdeen is to work within the Business and Management Discipline, providing teaching and supervisions around Organisational Behaviour and related topics, but also to contribute to the school where able in the area of QA, accreditation and other areas of previous experience.  I love teaching and engaging with students and am interactive in all my classes - whether classes of 300+ students in China, or in seminars of 20.

For 8 years, I was Associate Dean - Education and Student Experience at Nottingham University Business School China, and was Inter-Campus Quality Officer for the University of Nottingham. During that time, I was involved in educational co-operation across the 3 Nottingham Campuses (UK, Malaysia and China) and in leading educational policy at the Business School in China. I led the university's provision of online exams during Covid and established the Learning and Teaching conference at the University of Nottingham's campus in China I was also extensively involved in Business School accreditation for EQUIS and AACSB.

Prior to coming to China, I fulfilled similar roles at the University of Bradford School of Management as Senior Lecturer in Personal Learning and Development. I played a key role in developing relationships with educational institutions in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong amongst others. He developed and taught on courses related to personal learning (study skills and employability). As a result of this work, he wrote and was sole author for 'The Students' Guide to Study and Employability' (SAGE).

Above and beyond his academic work, Peter attends church regularly, is an avid photographer and is a recognised public speaker and trainer. In China, he has spoken at a variety of civic and work-related events, had appearances on Chinese media and was a regular finalist and winner at speech contests. I love travel - having taught and presented in the US, Asia and the Middle East.
