Biography

As a BACP accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist, Counselling Supervisor and Trainer, I teach on the counselling programmes within the School of Education.  I am a qualified teacher and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. I am a  practitioner researcher in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have lived and worked in Aberdeenshire for 28 years. I am a consulting editor for the British Psychological Society's peer reviewed journal, the Transpersonal Psychology Review.

My wider research interests are Counselling and Psychotherapy, qualitative research, creative counselling, feminist epistemology and the significance of the spiritual dimension in healthcare.

Current Research

I am a qualitative researcher who is a member of the University's Qualitative Research Network, currently completing practitioner research in Counselling and Psychotherapy within the School of Education.

I also supervise Counselling research projects for MSc Person-Centred Counselling and M.Ed Guidance.

School of Education- Tutor in the Counselling team. Providing supervision for research students in Counselling. I also teach on the COSCA Counselling Skills programme, as an accredited member of BACP who is in practice as a counsellor and psychotherapist.
