Biography
I am a current PhD student in Film Studies, exploring how audiences empathize with morally ambiguous characters and villains in film and animation. With an MFA in animation from Pratt Institute, my work blends storytelling, psychology, and visual artistry to understand what draws viewers to complex, flawed characters. My research questions how narrative structure and cultural context shape our perceptions of morality and challenge traditional ideas of good and evil. As a filmmaker, I’ve explored these themes in my award-winning animated film, "Wasm", and continue to push the boundaries of character-driven storytelling.
