Senior Clinical Lecturer (Scholarship), Endodontic Theme Co-ordinator, Co-ordinator for MSc in Advanced Restorative Dental Practice

After completing an MSc in Restorative Dentistry with the University of Manchester (with Merit), I joined Aberdeen Dental School as a clinical tutor (part-time) in 2015. When not teaching at Aberdeen Dental InstituteI delivered private dental care for BUPA. Since then, I have been appointed (in 2016) as a clinical senior lecturer. I am responsible for the delivery of endodontics teaching, the MSc in Advanced Restorative Dental Practice and clinical supervision on the Integrated Oral Care and Restorative Department. department. In 2019.

I have a passion for restorative dentistry, especially endodontics and strive to teach leadership skills to dental undergraduates to prepare them for a dental practice. In 2017 I received a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA)(with Merit) focusing on Healthcare. In 2018  I was the winner of the Excellence in Teaching Award (Undergraduate) for Science, Engineering & Healthcare; I have been a finalist in 2019, 2020 & 2021.

As a member of the Military Education Committee, I represent the University of Aberdeen on the Council of Military Education Committees. I represent the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow as a University Tutor.

My interests are in blended learning and learning styles.
