MR ILIAS KAZEEM
Ilias is conducting a research for his PhD with focus on international arbitration of energy and natural resources disputes, especially in connection with public participation and social licence to operate in investment arbitration. He obtained an LLM (with Distinction) in Energy and Environmental Law, at the University of Aberdeen, on a scholarship awarded by the School of Law of the University of Aberdeen. He is currently on a merit scholarship for his PhD which was also awarded by the School of Law, University of Aberdeen. Ilias had proviously obtained an LLB from University of Ilorin, Nigeria, in 2013 and he was subsequently called to the Nigerian Bar in 2014. He has practised in Nigeria, in the areas of litigation, commercial arbitration and commercial law, for a number of years.
