Biography

Ibiere is a Ph.D. researcher at the University of Aberdeen School of Law. Her current research interests centre around the effectiveness of regional instrument in catalysing renewable energy development at national level, with specific focus on the ECOWAS legal instrument on renewable energy and how it compels renewable electricity development in member states. Her research is funded by the Nigerian Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF).

Ibiere completed her Masters in Energy and Environmental Law (LL.M) at the University of Aberdeen in 2018. She further holds an LL. B (Hons) in Law from the University of Nigeria in 2014 and she is licenced to practice law in Nigeria.

Ibiere also has interest in commercial law and regulatory compliance. She has experience working in this area of practice and has been involved with standardisation of commercial systems as it concerns commercial contracting, procurement functions and contract management for organisations in Nigeria.
