Biography

埃姆雷·ä¹Œæ–¯æ…•æ–¯ï¼ŒçŸ³æ²¹ç»æµŽå­¦å®¶ï¼ŒçŸ³æ²¹ç‡ƒæ°”业法学专家,现为阿伯丁大学国际发展部主任(中国),石油工程协会阿伯丁分会董事成员,阿伯丁能源研究所会员,阿伯丁大学能源法律中心会员。著有《石油燃气法律的现状及趋势》(合著)以及《重修石油税法:构建投资者与政府的共赢》(将于2017年出版)。曾任职于阿塞拜疆自然资源行业,对于与安哥拉,阿塞拜疆,巴西,加纳,印度尼西亚,尼日利亚,土耳其以及英国等国家的部长级官员、国营企业和私营企业打交道有着丰富的经验。

曾就读于北卡罗琳州立大学,获得经济学和政治学双学士学位,后于阿伯丁大学攻读硕士学位,成为石油能源财经专业和石油燃气法学专业双料硕士。目前,作为国际发展部主任,他主要负责阿伯丁大学的国际业务以及发展阿伯丁大学与自然资源行业的学术机构和政府部门之间合作关系。

 

Emre Usenmez is a petroleum economist, a legal expert in oil and gas, and the Dean for Internationalisation focusing on East Asia. He is an associate at the Aberdeen Energy Institute and at the Aberdeen University Centre for Energy Law (AUCEL). He is also a board member of Society of Petroleum Engineers Aberdeen Section. He is a co-editor of Oil and Gas Law: Current Issues and Emerging Trends and the author of Redesigning Petroleum Taxation: Aligning Government and Investors in the UK, scheduled to be published in 2018. Prior to joining Aberdeen he worked in the natural resources sector in Azerbaijan. Emre has a significant experience working with the staff of national ministries, state and private oil companies in Angola, Azerbaijan, Brazil, Ghana, Indonesia, Nigeria, Turkey, and the UK.

He holds a PhD in Economics, Finance and Law, an MSc in Petroleum, Energy Economics and Finance and an LLM in Oil and Gas Law from the University of Aberdeen. He also obtained his BSc in Economics and his BA in Political Science from the North Carolina State University. As a Dean he focusses on international engagements and on developing partnerships with academic institutions and ministries working in natural resources sectors.

PhD Research

The PhD is examining the effectiveness of fiscal policies in encouraging investment. The research explores policy options for the UK in increasing its competitiveness in attracting investment for exploration and production activities.
