MR CHIKE EMEDOSI

Chike holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Madonna University, Nigeria, and obtained his LLM in Corporate & Financial Law (with distinction) from the University of Glasgow. Chike has research interests in securitisation, international banking regulation (Basel III) and tax justice. He currently teaches on Corporate and Commercial Law modules and coordinates the Corporate Finance Law honours course at the School of Law, University of Aberdeen.
Chike is completing his PhD research on securitisation, which is jointly funded by the University of Aberdeen Elphinstone PhD Scholarship and the Scottish Universities Law Institute (SULI) PhD Scholarship. He is also a recipient of the Max Planck Institute doctoral scholarship.
Before commencing his PhD research, Chike qualified as a barrister and solicitor in Nigeria and acted as company secretary/legal adviser to GVE Projects Ltd. In this capacity, Chike advised on multiple commercial transactions, including a leading tripartite mini-grid agreement, a receivables finance agreement and a syndicated loan agreement.
