Biography
Dr Anne Caldwell is a cultural historian of Zionism, environmental colonialism, and British media during the first half of the 20th century. Her research interests more broadly include European Jewish identity, perceptions of masculinity, as well as the relationship between Antisemitism and Orientalism within British colonial discourse.
She would be happy to supervise MA and MLitt dissertations that focus on nationalism, cultural media, colonialism, food history, Modern Jewish history, and Modern Middle Eastern history, including Mandate Palestine and post 1948 Israel/Palestine.
