Professor Ahmad Arslan

Biography

Professor Ahmad Arslan holds the Honorary Chair position in Business Management at the Business School, University of Aberdeen, Scotland, UK. He is also a member of the Africa-Asia Centre for Sustainability at the Business School. He is currently working as a Professor at the Department of Marketing, Management and International Business, Oulu Business School, University of Oulu, Finland. Previously, he has worked in academia in different universities in the UK and Finland. He has significant experience in teaching a range of entrepreneurship, international business, management, marketing, and strategy courses (modules). He also has experience of degree programme development and leadership at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Moreover, he has supervised several doctoral students until completion, along with supervising a number of undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations.

Professor Arslan has multidisciplinary research interests in several management areas. His earlier research has been published in prestigious academic journals like Annals of Operations Research, British Journal of Management, European Management Journal, Human Resource Management (US), IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, International Business Review, International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behavior & Research,  International Marketing Review, Journal of Business Research, Journal of International Management, Journal of Managerial Psychology, Journal of Product Innovation Management, Management International Review, Public Management Review, Supply Chain Management, Technological Forecasting and Social Change and The International Journal of Human Resource Management, among others. He has also contributed chapters to several edited books on diverse management topics. Finally, he holds several editorial board memberships, has been guest editor of journal special issues, and is currently an Associate Editor of International Journal of Entrepreneurship & Small Business.
