Dr Gustaaf Kikkert, a Postdoc researcher within the Environmental Hydraulics Research Group in the School of Engineering, has been awarded the Karl Emil Hilgard Hydraulic Prize by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)
This prestigious award is for the paper titled "Inclined Negatively Buoyant Jets", Journal of Hydraulic Engineering, published with co-authors Dr Mark Davidson and Dr Roger Nokes. The award is given for "the paper which is judged to be of superior merit, dealing with a problem of flowing water, either in theory or practice".
