Biography

Chris trainied as a historian at the Universities of Strathclyde and Cambridge before working for the University of Oxford and then for Aberdeen City Council as Historian, from 2001-2015. Chris is Local Area Coordinator of Doors Open Day, a Burgess of Guild of the City of Aberdeen and Fellow of the Society of Antiquaires of Scotland.

Chris' role in Public Engagement includes coordinating large scale public engagement with research events such as European Researchers' Night, festivals such as TechFest, Being Human and Festival of Social Science as well as offering training in public engagement at a variety of differnet levels and seeking to embed public engagement across the university and develop opportunities for engagement
